It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Pierre Fortier, at the age of 54 years with his loving family by his side on Monday, March 23, 2020, at Health Sciences North. Beloved husband, soulmate and best friend to Michèle Fortier (née Caron). Proud and devoted father to his sons Denis, Éric and to their family pet Daisy. Loving son of Alice Fortier (née Bisson) and André Fortier (predeceased). Loving brother of Louise Park (Michael), Mario Fortier (predeceased), and Paul Kennedy. Precious uncle to Ryan Crozier (Mandie), Patrick Crozier (Candice), Miranda Bisschops and their children Jesse, Tegan and Caelin. He will sadly be missed by his parents-in-law Jeannine and Lionel Caron, his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends. Married 33 years to his high school sweetheart, Michèle and Pierre enjoyed each other’s company. He was her rock, her strength, the love of her life whom she called “Mon Pierre”. Pierre was a wonderful and loving person with a heart of gold. He was very generous and always ready to give a helping hand. We will always remember him for his contagious smile and his great sense of humour. Pierre lived his life to the fullest. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, boating, gardening and enjoyed playing the piano. He was a well-known businessman. He had a great passion for his company Northern Lawn Sprinklers, which he built over 30 years ago. He had great pride and devotion to his work, his employees and to his clients. Pierre was proud to know that his sons will continue his legacy. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cooperative Funeral Homes, Sudbury. Donations in his memory can be made to the organization of your choice and would be greatly appreciated. C’est avec le coeur lourd que la famille annonce le décès de Pierre Fortier, à l’âge de 54 ans avec sa famille à ses côtés, le lundi 23 mars 2020 à l’Horizon Santé Nord. Époux bien-aimé de Michèle Fortier (née Caron), père de Denis et Éric, ainsi que leur petite Daisy. Fils bien-aimé de Alice Fortier (née Bisson) et André Fortier (décédé). Frère de Louise Park (Michael), Mario Fortier (décédé) et Paul Kennedy. Oncle précieux de Ryan Crozier (Mandie), Patrick Crozier (Candice), Miranda Bisschops et leurs enfants Jesse, Tegan et Caelin. En plus de sa famille immédiate, il sera grandement manqué par ses beaux-parents Jeannine et Lionel Caron, ses belles-sœurs, beaux-frères, nièces, neveux, oncles, tantes, cousins, cousines et plusieurs amis. Michèle et Pierre ont jouis de 33 ans de mariage en vivant un pour l’autre. Pierre avait un cœur d’or, généreux et toujours prêt à aider. Son sourire contagieux et son grand sens d’humour feront toujours parties de nos précieux souvenirs. Pierre avait une grande joie de vivre. Il aimait la chasse, la pêche, le golf, le jardinage et jouer le piano. Pierre était un homme de commerce fier et dévoué à sa compagnie Northern Lawn Sprinklers, envers ses employés et ses clients. Il était très fier de savoir que ses fils poursuivront sa passion avec sa compagnie. Une Célébration de vie en sa mémoire sera annoncée à une date ultérieure, à confirmer.
