Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Virginia Eleanor Miller, on March 22nd, 2020. Our mother was born March 6th, 1930 in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. Loving wife to Joseph (predeceased). Loving sister to George, Charles, Jimmy, Mary Elizabeth, and Jean, all predeceased. She is survived by her children, Bob (Diane), Marion (Jim), Valerie, Beverly, Rose (Garfield), and Ernie (Veronica). She was the grandmother to 11 grandchildren and great grandmother to 14 great grandchildren. Mom was known for her sense of humour, right to the end, asking for her Kickapoo joy juice (wine) on a regular basis. She was kind, caring, and generous to us all. She was truly one of a kind, and we are forever grateful for our time with her. We would like to thank the staff of the 4th Floor at Extendicare York for their care of mom and the loving attention given to our mother in her final days. To live in hearts we leave, is not to die. Thomas Campbell.

Sorry to hear about your Mom. I can still remember the days on Valleyview road when your Dad was alive. The parties with down east music were always fun.

So sorry to hear of your mother's passing! She was a sweet lady whom I had the pleasure to know before retirement (mine). She is with you in your heart and always will be. I worked at York Extendicare.
