It is with profound sadness the family announces Carla’s sudden passing. Left to mourn is her partner, Rene Falardeau. Loving mother of Amber (Dave) Kennedy. Grandmother of Emmaly, David and Nolan Kennedy. Carla is survived by her parents Judy and Dave Petrynchyn and her siblings, David (Aileen) Manton, Lisa (James) Kozak and David Petrynchyn Jr. A local entertainer (vocalist) for many years, Carla began her singing career known as ‘’Sassy’’. Later she was lead vocalist, performing with various bands-Country Line, U4EA, TKO among others. Carla loved the out-of-doors and wildlife, especially the monkeys of Mexico. Her favourite pastimes were fishing with her love, Rene, walking the trails along Vermillion Lake and making everyone laugh at the campfires. Carla will be missed by her many friends who she cherished. As per Carla’s wishes cremation has taken place by Simple Wishes of the North Sudbury. A celebration of Carla’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, 1553 Weller Street, Sudbury, on Sunday, March 8th, 2020 between 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers donation to Canadian Mental Health Association or the charity of your choice are appreciated.
