Tom ""Stuffy"" Stefankow passed away surrounded by family at HSN on February 17, 2020 at age 85. Beloved son of the late Nick and Annie; sibling to Doris, Jimmy and Eleanor (all predeceased). Tom will be dearly missed by his loving wife Shirley, children Debbie (Loman), Darrell (Renée), grandchildren Kevin, Vanessa (Joseph), Sébastien and many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Creighton Mines, Stuffy was an avid badminton and baseball player in his youth. He would spend 40 years working the tailing lines at Inco, later retiring in 1989. In his retirement, he would find a second career as the warehouse ""manager"" for his daughter and son-in-law's business. Known affectionately by his grandchildren as Papa, his greatest joy were his grandchildren and grand-dogs Spooky and Miley. Papa never missed a soccer, baseball, curling or badminton game and never wasted an opportunity to boast about his grandchildren's successes. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, caring nature and ability to light up a room. Special thanks to all the staff at HSN, 5th Floor, South Tower, especially his guardian angels Reagan, Jessie, Tori and Jessica for their amazing care and support in making his final days as peaceful as possible. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
