Mearini, Elba (Giardini)

In Loving Memory of Elba Mearini (neé Giardini) 88 years Peacefully, passed away at Health Sciences North, Sudbury on Saturday February 22nd, 2020 with her loving family at her side. Devoted daughter of Angelo and Angelina (Baldelli)Giardini both predeceased. Beloved wife of the late Luigi Mearini. Loving mother of John Mearini (wife Monique) and Rita Robertson (husband John). Cherished grandmother of Heather (Jay), Sarah (Mark) and Jessica (Mike), Miranda and Jordan (Kara), Tina (Jesse); treasured great-grandmother of Brooklynn, Kieran, Addison, Raegan, Owen and Meagan; dearest sister of Albert (wife Carmela) of Toronto and predeceased by brother Nino and his wife Anne of Dearborn, Michigan; Special aunt to Jordan. Dear sister in-law of Luisa Mengoni (husband Ubaldo) both predeceased, Marina Mengoni (husband Armando predeceased), Emilia Mearini, Ida Cardoni (husband Dolfo) both predeceased; sadly missed by loving nieces and nephews. Elba will be remembered as a very good and kind person who enjoyed socializing with relatives and friends. Elba was a woman of faith who lived the lessons taught by Jesus to love God and love your neighbour. She spent many happy times at the family camp on Manitoulin Island. She was devoted to her family, especially her precious grandchildren. Elba will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury. (Friends may call 2-5pm and 7-9pm Tuesday with parish prayers 3pm Tuesday) Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church 39 Walford Road, Sudbury Wednesday February 26th, 2020 at 12pm Entombment at the Park Lawn Cemetery.
