Pilon, Gerald 'Gerry'

The family announces with great sorrow his peaceful passing surrounded by his loving family at his residence in Sudbury, Sunday, February 16th, 2020 at the age of 59 years. Beloved husband of Suzanne (née Poitras) Pilon. Loving father of Cory (Chantal St-Amour). Predeceased by his son Shane. Son of Marcel and the late Anna May Pilon. Cherished grandfather of Erika, Marissa, Sianna and Jazmine. Dear brother of Joanne Osinkowski (late Roman), Louise McCarthy (Tim), Ron (Liette), Nicole and Maryanne Pilon, Raymond and Guy Landry. Predeceased by siblings Elaine Wilson (Mike), Shelley Pilon and Gary Landry. Father-in-law Gerald ``Gerry`` Poitras (predeceased) and mother-in-law Rachelle Poitras (predeceased), brother-in-law of Daniel Poitras (Lenore), Jeannine Piché (Ron) and Carmen Poitras (Gerry). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He will also be missed by the residents, families and staff of Extendicare Falconbridge. Gerry will be remembered for his unique sayings “ticketyboo” and “wingahaha”. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Thursday, February 20th, from 2-5 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the funeral home Chapel.
