Labelle, Jeannette (Boyer)

It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Health Sciences North at the age of 74, surrounded by her family. Born in Sturgeon Falls, ON, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Florida (née Verdun) Boyer. Beloved wife of Dorian Labelle – predeceased in 2017). Loving mother of Richard (Angela) Marcotte, Gerry Marcotte, Mike (Karen) Marcotte, Brigitte (Tony) Reis, Andre Marcotte and Guy (Cristal) Marcotte. Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Raymond (Donna) Boyer, Rita Snow, Suzanne Boyer, Rollande Boyer and Gérard Boyer (predeceased). Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Jeannette was an excellent cook and loved trying new recipes. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and never missed her favourite French TV channels. She was always there when her family needed her. A true caregiver in which her presence will sorely be missed. During her short illness, Jeannette received amazing care and the family would like to express a very special thank you to Dr. Bowen, Dr. Singh and the 6th floor, south tower nursing staff, for the extraordinary care and compassion given to her and her family. A Celebration of Jeannette’s Life, for all family and friends, will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Le Club Amical du Nouveau Sudbury, 553 Lavoie Street, Sudbury. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeannette’s memory can be made directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, www.cancer.ca. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
