Proud grandfather of Dessa (predeceased) Tara-Lee and Anyse (Ian) and great-grandfather to Caleb, Marquise and Makenzy. Predeceased by his parents, Napoleon and Soulange (nee Gratton) as well as four brothers and four sisters, sister-in-law Jacqueline (George) and brother-in-law Germain. He will be greatly missed by his brother Omer (Gail), brothers-in-law Gerald (Mags), Denis (Amanda), Richard (Tammy) and sisters-in-law Edith, Patsy (Aime) and Linda (Bruce). Emile will also be missed by many close friends and family. Emile was a miner for 35 years retiring from Falconbridge at the age of 53. After retirement, Emile and Emily spent 18 years wintering in Florida where they met new lifelong friends. In his spare time, he was a horseman at Sudbury Downs, owning, training and driving his own horses. Being an avid golfer for many years, he was able to play the game that he loved up until this past summer. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at our beloved Vermillion Lake Camp where we all shared wonderful memories. Emile and his family would like to thank all the wonderful staff and nurses in the Palliative care department of HSN. The nurses in particular were extremely caring, ensuring that Emile and the entire family were as comfortable as possible during our time at HSN. A special thank you also to Dr. Knight and Dr. Gill for being so honest and compassionate towards Emile and the family. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 15th, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
