Noel Theodore Quesnelle, a husband, father, grandfather, friend and supporter, 81 years, of Sudbury quietly passed away Saturday, January 25, 2020 surrounded by family. Born to the late Henry Quesnelle and Delphine Giroux and brother to his 8 siblings: Jeannine (Cookie) McCormack (Gary) of Sault Ste Marie and predeceased by Edith Piramalli (Frank), Rudy Quesnelle, Harold (Joe) Quesnelle, June Deresti Paul), Conrad (Bucko) Quesnelle, Gerry Quesnelle, and Henry Quesnelle (Lorraine. He was born and raised in Nestorville and Sault Ste Marie and moved to Sudbury in 1957. He is fondly remembered by many friends from working at the Coulson Hotel in the late 1950's-1960's and later the Detox Program in Sudbury and Elliot Lake. Noel also served many years as chair of the John Howard Society. He met the love of his life Dianna for the first time in 1959 but was too much of a wild child to settle down. Thankfully they reconnected in 1978 and married in 1980. They spent 42 years together, enjoying their children, always entertaining with his storytelling and jokes. They also loved family time camping, boating, fishing, travelling and upon retirement became snowbirds for many years spending winter at their condo in Florida. As everyone knows, Noel was a lifelong Montreal Canadians fan! He was a friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob for over 45 years. A mentor, confidant and friend to many, never missing a chance to provide support, guidance, direction and empathy, relishing the lifelong friends he made during this time in his life journey. Noel is survived by his wife Dianna, his children; David Quesnelle (Hillary), Deborah Brown (James), Kimberly Plexman (Kevin) and Dawn Swick. Cherished grandfather of six loving grandchildren: Antaya, Emma, Mackenzie, Chloe, Evan and Kyle. He will be dearly missed by his many precious nieces and nephews. In his own words, we need not worry as he is feeling just ""Tickety-Boo"". As a result of the Coronavirus - (COVID-19) the Celebration of Noel’s Life that was scheduled to take place at Our Lady of Hope on Friday, March 20, 2020 has been postponed until further notice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to the Monarch Recovery Services (Ladies & Gentleman), 402 Brady Street, Sudbury, ON P3B 2P6.
