In loving memory of Rita Andrighetti who passed away at Health Sciences North on October 15, 2019 at the age of 93. Born in Fossalunga Italy to Luigi and Theresa Durighel, both predeceased. At age 25, Rita left her homeland and travelled across the Atlantic landing in Gander Newfoundland. From there, she boarded another flight to Montreal and finally, on to Timmins, Ontario where she joined her husband Ottorino Andrighetti (predeceased 1991). Together, they created their new home and raised two children. After Ottorino passed, Rita moved to Sudbury to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Rita was happiest when surrounded by family, definitely her pride and joy. She led by example and taught us all to be kind to one another and that family is everything. She was a rock through good times and bad and the glue that held us all together. Rita is survived by her daughter Carla Byck (Peter), son Louis Andrighetti (Theresa), and daughter in law Erin Morrison. Rita will be missed by her five grandchildren John Byck(Natalie), James Byck (Hillary), Deanna DeMarchi (Ryan), Mike Andrighetti (Melissa) and Katie Andrighetti. In Nona’s eyes, they could do no wrong. Rita is also survived by six great grandchildren Ryan, Colton, Evan, Hudson, Emma and Harrison. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s Villa for their compassion and the staff on 5th floor at HSN for their kindness during her finals days. Funeral Service in the R. J.
