Tétreault, Hélène (Lirette)

Sadly passed away on Sun Aug 18, 2019 at the age of 92 years. Our parents Hélène and Moïse (predeceased 1999) were very proud of their family Thelma (the late Lou) Poolsaar, Joanne (Dave) Runnalls, Nicole (Brian) FitzHenry and Carole (Paul) Roy. They were blessed with 5 Grandchildren; Carrie (Grant) Sturgeon, Jonathan Runnalls, Melissa and Kyle FitzHenry and Cassie Roy. They also had 2 great grandchildren Julia and Maddie Sturgeon. Our mother was very active in the community as a Legion member for 45 years as well as a member of St. Ignatius in Sault Ste. Marie. She was an avid quilter, sewer, knitter and gardener, we are certain everyone has a pair of Hélène’s handmade slippers. She loved to dance to French Canadian music and was always the first one on the dance floor. She was a no-nonsense individual who passed on her strength and determination to her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. In keeping with Hélène’s wishes cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to Pleasantview Funeral Home - 905-892-1699. A service to celebrate her life will be held at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church (834 Canboro Rd, Fenwick) on Sat Sept 14 at 11:00 a.m Interment at a later date in St.Charles, Ontario with her husband.
