A lifelong resident of Sudbury, she was born in Chelmsford and grew up in the Donovan area, living in Lockerby after marriage. Josie gave her life to Jesus and devoted her life to serving God and helping people. Josie was very outgoing and generous and was always thrilled to meet new people and share stories of their lives. She was well known for giving baked goods to neighbours, to children in the Sunday School at Glad Tidings Tabernacle, and to people she visited at senior’s residences and long-term care facilities. She also donated sandwiches to the soup kitchen for many years. For as long as she could, she drove friends to church. She also kept busy knitting mittens for the Sunday School children. Josie loved to write cards keeping in touch with many friends and family members. Her cards blessed many and always contained meaningful scriptures. Josie worked at National Grocers as an accounts payable clerk until retiring at the age of 62. We will miss your stories and your infectious laugh. May God watch over you and keep you safe.
