Poirier, Claire (Chartrand)

After a lengthy illness, surrounded by her loved ones, Claire Poirier (Chartrand) passed away March 16th, 2019 at the age of 74. She will be greatly missed by her best friend and life long partner Rheal “Ray” Poirier of 50 plus years, her children Rheal Jr. “Cricket”, Nicole (Roch), Rolly (Sue) and Leeanne (Sweet Pea), her grandchildren Brandon (Brittany), Kayla (Joey), Roxanne (Jesse), Stephen (Kayla), Joey (Shannon) and Ashley and 8 great grandchildren Natalee, Riley, Evan, Shae-lynn, Connor, Brantley, Dominic and Hayden. As well as lots of family and friends. Claire lived a beautiful long life in Dowling since 1969 with her husband Ray. The love between them was like no other. Claire was so full of life, she was an active member of the Onaping Falls Lions Club and Tops. She had a sewing business for many years meeting new people all the time. For such a little lady she made a big impression on everyone she met. Claire was an amazing woman with a beautiful heart and soul. She loved country music, dancing, camping and enjoyed making people laugh. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation. A church mass will be held at St. Stephen’s Church in Dowling on Friday, March 22nd, 2019 at 11am followed by a celebration of her life at the Onaping Falls Lions Club, 27 Sturgeon St., Dowling.
