In Loving Memory of Edmond Joseph Leclerc 88 years Peacefully, Friday, January 18th, 2019 at Health Sciences North, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Chapleau to Alfred and Georgina Leclerc on November 21st, 1930. Beloved husband of Frances Leclerc (nee Gauthier) for 60 years. Loving father of Lynn Leclerc, Louise Kinsey (husband Dave), Lise Morton (husband Bill), and Denis (wife Jo-Anne de Lima-Leclerc). Cherished grandfather to Kendra and Hayden Speak, Fred and Sydney Morton, and Luc (predeceased), Liam, Logan, and Connor de Lima-Leclerc. Dear brother of Roland (Hélène predeceased), Arthur predeceased (Paule), Marie Askin, Richard (Mary-Liz), and Lorraine Korkosz (Greg). Dear brother in law of Diane Collings (Jim predeceased), and Raymond Gauthier predeceased (Sharon). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Ed worked for Dupont in North Bay and Sarnia, eventually obtaining his First Class Stationary Engineer license. In 1964, he started at Laurentian University and proudly worked there for 32 years, overseeing much of the campus expansion and retiring as Director, Physical Plant, Planning and Security in 1996. In retirement, he was always busy volunteering at both St. Patrick’s and Our Lady of Hope parishes, working on his two 63 Volkswagens, maintaining an impressive fitness regimen, travelling with Fran, and teasing and adoring his grandchildren. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury Visitation from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019 Followed immediately by Funeral Mass in Our Lady of Hope Church 591 Brennan Road, Sudbury Wednesday, January 23rd, 2019 at 1pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Alzheimer Society Sudbury Chapter Day Program or the Sudbury Hard of Hearing Society would be appreciated.
