Rousselle, Mathurin 'Mat'

With heavy hearts and a great sense of loss, we announce the passing of our beloved Papa, (Mat) Mathurin Rousselle 93 years of age on Sunday, December 9, 2018. Beloved husband of 40 years to the late Laurette (Ross). Loving father to Beverly Brunet (Gilles), Sharon Rogers (Jim) and David Ross (Gail). Adored grandfather to Mathew (Tracy), Paul (Christine), Dale (Kirby) and Terri-Lee Crispo (Ross). Loving great-grandfather to Justin, Darren, Tyler, Kailey, Ramsey, Madison, Chanelle and Sierra. Great-great-grandfather to Talia. Dear brother to Irene (late Bill) and Alvery (Helen). Predeceased by his siblings Ben, Leonard, Alcide, Laura and Regina. Survived by many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Dad was a very proud New Brunswick“er”, who moved to Sudbury in his youth to work for Inco where he retired some 30+ years later. He would return home often for visits and holidays where lobsters and clams were a plenty. Dad was a kind and gentle person with strong down east moral values. He leaves us with great ethical principles to follow. Dad was always happiest when family was around. How he loved those get-togethers. In his younger days, he enjoyed the weekends spent at their cottage, loved his garden and his Montreal Canadians. Special thanks to Linda & Paulette for the special care they gave Papa. In keeping with his wishes a Celebration of Life will be held when flowers bloom this spring. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
