San Cartier, M. Ella (Boyd)

In loving memory of Ella May San Cartier (née Boyd) who passed away at the Maison McCulloch Hospice surrounded by her loving family on Friday, August 10th, 2018 at the age of 87 years. Dear daughter of the late William and Exerine Boyd (both predeceased). Sister of Edward, Alfred, Evelyn, William, Laura, Herve and Henry (all predeceased). Beloved wife of Maurice “Blackie” San Cartier (predeceased 1992). Loving mother of Michelle (Serge), Monique (Barry), Maurice “Buck” (Stasia), Marcel “Yogi” (Tracey) and Marc (France). Dear Mémère of Roxanne, Marcel (Victoria), Michel (Kerry); Christopher (Gina), Michael; Natasia, Serena, Halley; Miranda and Marissa. Great-Mémère of Cédric, Joé, Skylar and Olivier. Mémère’s passions included reading, crossword puzzles, game shows and soap operas. She was an avid roller skater and ice skater in her younger years. She was a skilled pool player and a “biker mama.” She will be remembered for her love of musicals and her beautiful singing voice. “C’est very nice!” She was well known for her home cooking and baking which will be missed by “a whole many bunch!” The family would like to thank Dr. Pearce and his team at the Cancer Centre, the medical staff on 6 South at Health Sciences North, as well as the amazing staff and volunteers at Maison McCulloch Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Memorial Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at 10am. (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Tuesday and after 9:30am Wednesday). Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
