Tarini, A. Lawrence 'Laurie'

One of the all-time great guys, Lawrence “Laurie” Anthony Tarini, 63, passed away early Thursday, January 18, 2018 after a short illness. Laurie is survived by his wife Louise (Blais), his sons, Joel, Justin (Julie), and Jordan (Anthony), his grandchildren Nathan, Jayden, and Alyssa, his beloved brothers Frank (Fran) and Carlo (Claire), and many nephews, nieces, cousins and in-laws. He is pre-deceased by his parents Mario Tarini and Ada Valentini. Laurie was a long-time and respected employee at Vale (Inco) where he loved working. Laurie was an extremely good-natured man and was a friend to just about everybody he ever met. He was a devoted family man who liked nothing more than to get together with members of his family, open a bottle of red wine and fire up the barbeque in his backyard, which he meticulously maintained right down to the last blade of grass. He will be remembered for his mischevious sense of humour, distinct laugh and an outstanding moustache. Laurie meant a lot to a lot of people inside and outside his family. His love and devotion were legendary, and it’s this that will be missed most. (Funeral details here.) The Tarini family would like to thank Dr. Erin Chouinard, and the staff at Health Sciences North, the Greater Sudbury Paramedic Services, and the Maison McCulloch Hospice. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maison McCulloch Hospice.
