Groulx, Conrad “Tico” In Loving Memory of Conrad “Tico” Groulx of Sudbury, 73 years who passed away suddenly after a brief illness on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Dear friend of Violette “Vi” Rivard. Loving father of David Groulx (Lori) and step-father of Shelly Rothney (Harold), Kimberly Beres (Mike) and Kelly Rothney (Kathy). Cherished grandfather of Kelsie, Cyndi-Jo (C.J.), Kelly Ann, Brenda, Derick, Robin, Aaron and Shawna. Born in Mattawa, he was the son of the late Adelard and Agnes (Lapenseé) Groulx. Beloved brother of Corinne Groulx, Emile Groulx (Sue), Pauline Matte (Jean-Guy), Daniel Groulx (Leslie) and Monique Duchesne (Mark). He was predeceased by his siblings, Guy, Ronald–predeceased (Marlene) and Robert. Conrad retired in 1995 as a miner after spending 35 years with Falconbridge. He was a proud and dedicated member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 254, Mattawa and the Algonquin First Nation. An avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes there will be no visitation. A Memorial Mass in Conrad’s memory will be celebrated at St. Anne’s Church, 241, 2nd Street, Mattawa on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m., followed by the interment of cremains. Family and friends are then invited to gather at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 254, 360 Hurdman Street, Mattawa for a Celebration of Life.
