In Loving Memory of Elizabeth “Betty” June Marie Jacobs (nee McLeod) 80 Years Who passed away on May 24th, 2017 at the St. Joseph’s Manor in Elliot Lake surrounded by her loving Family. Beloved wife of Terrance “Terry” Jacobs (predeceased) for 60 years. Cherished Mother of Jeff Jacobs (Karen) and Lisa Reid (Brian). Loving Grandmother of Kerri-Lynn Jacobs (John), Terrance Jacobs (Kristina), Rachel Jacobs, Miles Reid (Megan) and Summer Reid. Special Great Grandmother of Mackenzie, Jackson, Jai Lynn, Ashley, Hunter, Jaslyn, Norah, Ayasha, Harley, Jacob and Bineshi. Dear Daughter of Helen McLeod (predeceased). Treasured Sister of Joyce Trudeau and Jean Shawana (all predeceased). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Betty was a firm believer in her religious values and gave her time to serve in the Diocese Order of Service for a number of years. Betty’s professional life was involved in the social services field and she was very dedicated in advocating and providing support to the frail, the elderly and the disabled of her Community. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, playing Bingo and travelling with her late husband, Terry. In Betty’s memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated. Visitation will be held at the Serpent River First Nation Community Center on Friday, May 26th after 3:00 p.m. Funeral Mass in Our Lady of the Highway Church on Monday, May 29th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Internment to follow at the Serpent River First Nation Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home
