St-George, Dollard

In loving memory of Dollard St-George who passed away at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury on Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of the late Jeannine (née Robert), predeceased 2009. Loving father of Lise St-George (predeceased), Pierrette Lalonde (husband André “Red”) of Azilda, Guy St-George of Azilda, Louise St-George (husband Gilles Galipeau) of Azilda, Marc St-George (wife Linda) of Mississauga and Richard St-George (wife Pina) of Azilda. Cherished grandfather of Joddie, Natalie, Chantal, André, Eric, Marcus and Ania and great-grandfather of Brynlea. Dear brother of Ernest of Sturgeon Falls (wife Claire of Lavigne) and David (late wife Cécile) of Azilda. He was predeceased by his brother Julien and by his sisters Jeannine Poulin (late husband Denis), Flore Plante (late husband Marcel) and Isabelle Aubin (late husband Fernand). Dollard was born in Lavigne on July 23rd, 1928 to parents Patrick and Emma. For over 30 years, he worked as a miner, mostly with INCO. He once was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the Golden Age Club in Azilda. In his healthier years, Dollard enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and playing cards. He will be remembered as a devoted family member, a good provider and as an individual that was always willing to help others in need. As per the family’s wishes, cremation will take place at Lakeview Crematorium. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family for a memorial visitation at Club 50 in Chelmsford on Thursday, April 27th, 2017 from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. A celebration of his life will be held at Ste-Agnès Church in Azilda on Friday, April 28th, 2017 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
