Carol Ann McDonald (nee O’Brien) 75 years passed away suddenly Saturday January 14, 2017, she was the devoted wife of 55 years to D’Arcy McDonald. Loving mother of Kelly, Mary-Jane, Colleen and Monica. Doting Mama to Shauna and D’Arcy. Loving daughter and daughter in-law of Beatrice “Toots” and Lenny O’Brien and Margaret and Frank McDonald (all predeceased). Survived by her twin sister Cathy Lemieux (Norman predeceased), Patrick Thomas “Trapper” (predeceased), Russell (predeceased), Sharon Lif (Sten), Lenore Duncan (Brian predeceased) and her baby sister Mary-Lynne Clark (Kelly). Dear sister-in-law to Patrick (Theresa), Fred (predeceased) (Monica), Margaret Fitzsimmons (Jim predeceased), Bill (predeceased) (Rolande), Brian (Fern), Larry (Anita), Donald “Donny” (predeceased) (Claire), David (predeceased), Mary Rampado (Edward) and Dolores McDonald. Cherished Aunt Carol to three generations of nieces and nephews too numerous to list. Born and raised in Schreiber, ON, later settled in Markstay, ON to be with the love of her life and raise her children. Carol was an active member of the community, involved with St. Mark’s parish, St. Mark’s school where she was a secretary for many years. Volunteering for her daughter’s Brownies, figure skating, and ringette. Knitting for the homeless, soldiers, and preemies. Having been raised at Lake Superior, she loved spending time at the family camp on Kukagami Lake, welcoming family and friends. In light of her commitment to the community you may make a donation in her name to the Markstay Revitalization Committee in lieu of flowers.  Resting at the  Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home  233 Larch Street, Sudbury  (Friends may call 3-8pm Friday only).  Celebration of her life at the  Wahnapitae Community Center  Saturday, January 21st, 2017  at 11am.  (Friends may gather at the community center after 10:30am Saturday).  Cremation with interment in the Markstay Cemetery.
