Ethier, Hubert

The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Hubert Ethier suddenly on Friday, October 14th, 2016 at the age of 65. Beloved husband of Paulette “Lucy” (nee Lauzon) for over 40 years. Predeceased by his parents Concorde and Serge Ethier, his brother Rene, sister-in-law Carmen and father-in-law Aurel. Survived by his brother Bernard Ethier (wife Diane), sister-in-laws Jean Ethier and Sue Blanchard, brother-in-laws Denis Lauzon (wife Cathy) and Dan Courville and his mother-in-law Therese. Lovingly remembered by his nieces: Anne, Nicole, Chloe, Josee-Lyne and Marie-Chantale and nephews: Brian, Matthew, Jamie and Greg, great nieces and nephews, relatives and many friends. Hubert was well known in the community as the operator of Rudy’s Restaurant, he was renowned for his passion for cooking. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, going to Florida and golfing. At Hubert’s request there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of his life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 (1533 Weller Street, Sudbury) on Monday, October 24th, 2016 from 2-5pm. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
