In Loving Memory of Adele Cristo (nee Calisi) 80 years Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, December 9th, 2019 at Health Sciences North, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Gaspare Cristo for 62 years. Loving mother of Marisa Cristo predeceased (Gennaro), Frank Cristo (Adriana) and Cosimo Cristo (Sherri). Cherished Nonna of Jonathan (Mandy), Jennifer (Daniel), Stephanie (Serge), Samantha (Matthew), Ginny (Eric), Joey (Danilyn), Jordan and Cassandra and great grandchildren Keaton, Matea, Rheanna, Brayden, Seth, Jayde, Mackenzie, Lukus and Meela. Dear daughter of Sabotino and Anita Calisi both predeceased. Dear sister of Daniele (Anna-Maria) both predeceased, Gerardo (Anna), Giuseppina (Luigi Nuziale) both predeceased and Vittorio (Anna). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Adele was born in Ponza, Provencia Latina, Italy. She married Gaspare in 1939 and they immigrated to Canada in 1966 with their two children Marisa and Frank. Son Cosimo was born two years later. She worked as a custodian at Sudbury Secondary School. Her passion was gardening, spending time outdoors with the sunshine and enjoying her camp on Manitoulin Island. Her greatest joy were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Visitation at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury Friday, December 13th, 2019 at 10am. (Friends may call 4-8pm Thursday) Entombment in the Civic Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
