In Loving Memory of Topi Huhtala 85 years Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12th, 2019 at Finlandia Village. Beloved husband of Raili (Laakso) Huhtala predeceased 1990. Loving father of Jukka “Jack” (Kathy Eastwood), Anne Cerilli (Frank), Irma Tonelli and Anita Mallory (Michael). Cherished grandfather of Andrew (Kim), Ryan (Whitney), Nathan (Rebecca), Leah, Maija, Alex, Kai, Kyra and great grandchildren David, Nicholas, Mackenzie and Jameson. Dear son of Sulo and Tyyne Huhtala both predeceased. Dear brother of Paavo predeceased, Viljo predeceased, Pirkko predeceased, and Leena of Finland and Heikki predeceased of Sudbury. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and his good friend Raija Kankaanpaa. Topi immigrated to Canada in 1957, settling in Sudbury. He worked at Cambrian Ford as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for 33 years. He was very proud of the camp he built and enjoyed spending summers there. In his younger years, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. The family would like to thank all the staff at Finlandia Village for their wonderful care and support. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at 2pm (Friends may call after 12noon Saturday) Interment in the Civic Cemetery.
