In loving Memory of Leonora Bellini February 27, 1929 - November 3, 2019 It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be tremendously missed by her daughter Brenda, son Daniel and daughter-in-law Christine. Loving Nonnie to granddaughters: Dr. Jessica Leonora Whitehead, Lindsay Stevenson (Matthew), Alexandra Bellini, and Lila Whitehead. Cherished Bisnonna to Vienna Grace Stevenson. Dear daughter of Mabel and Reno Volpini and devoted wife of Valerio Bellini— all predeceased. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson and Barnard Funeral, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Saturday, November 16th, 2019 at 1:00 pm. Norie was an incredibly accomplished woman who was a trailblazer for her time. She was an artist, a musician, a community leader, and world traveler who went everywhere from the Arctic to Turkey. She was a talented pianist and singer who through McGill University and the Kiwanis Music Festival won many awards. She even was selected to sing an aria on CBC radio. Norie was one of the first women to teach piano at Sacred Heart College, and later taught piano to many children in her own home. She was a Brownie and Girl Guide Leader who led their choirs to many first-place finishes at the Kiwanis Music Festival. She organized many fundraisers as the President of the Home and School at MacLeod Public School where she also attended as a child. She had a great love of animals and will be especially missed by the chipmunks of Walford Road. Norie's artistic talent and love of nature was expressed through her paintings and beautiful wood carvings. There wasn't a craft that she couldn't excel at. Christmas time was her high holiday. Every room in her house was decorated to the extreme. Everywhere you looked, there were robotic Santa's, carollers, carousels— all playing Christmas music, nativity scenes and even a Christmas condominium development. We will cherish our joyful memories of Christmas which she made so special. Everything she did was wrapped in love. Norie would say that her biggest and proudest accomplishment was her family who she was fiercely devoted to. She took pride in her grandchildren and would have been over the moon to hold her great-granddaughter. She had a great sense of humour and was always a source of amusement to everyone in her family. We would like to thank all those who helped her in her later years especially her cousin, friend, and ""partner in crime"" Lynn Vitali who was a constant source of support and comfort.
