Marvin Benedict Scully (Max) April 19, 1935 – October 2, 2019 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Max Scully at the age of 84. Max was born in Ansonville, Ontario into a large family of nine siblings. His childhood love of all sports (especially hockey) carried on his entire life. Max was happiest when either cheering on the Leafs or enjoying time with his family; all the better if the two events could happen together! Max is lovingly survived by his wife of 60 years, Angela (Belhumeur) and his children Mychol, James and Caroline and his son-in-law John. Max is also lovingly survived by his grandchildren Chris, Nick, Donovan, Rachel, Cameron, Sarah and James. Max worked for many years at Union Gas (formerly Northern & Central Gas) as a tap line specialist on major construction sites throughout northern Ontario. Retirement meant more time for travel, sports and visiting family, all of which he enjoyed immensely. Max felt blessed and grateful for the family he had, and loved them deeply. We are extremely grateful for the support he received in his final months from his community care team at the Northeast LIHN and Bayshore. Special thanks to Dr. Abu Shama for his loving care, and the dedication of the nursing staff at the Maison McCulloch Hospice. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 10am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 39 Walford Rd., Sudbury to be followed by a reception at Enrico’s Restaurant at the Caruso Club. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Maison McCulloch Hospice. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home. For donations or messages of condolence, www.lougheed.org
