Conrod, J. Barry

In Loving Memory of Barry Joseph Conrod, 67, of the Greater City of Sudbury passed away at Health Science North, September 25, 2019 with his brother and sister by his side. He was born October 12, 1951 in Sudbury Ontario, the son of the late Beatrice (Ginger) Pembroke and Ralph Conrod Halifax. Raised by stepfather Chester Nieforth (predeceased) Barry was also predeceased in life by his sister Aileen and sister-in-law Lynn. He was the third oldest child of eight siblings. He is survived by his brother, Wayne (wife Ingrid), sister Pauline (husband Ingolf), brother Danny and brother Kim (wife Diane) Brother Chester (chipper) and Brother Sidney wife (Ingrid). He left behind many cherished Nieces and nephews. He graduated from Garson Falconbridge Secondary School. In his younger days he was an accomplished musician and entertainer. After graduation he was employed by the Falconbridge Nickle Company for 35 yrs. retiring in 2002. Special thanks to his caretakers at the Walford retirement home and the kind medical Staff on the 5th (stroke) and 3rd floor (stroke recovery) at the Health Sciences North. At Barry’s request, there will be no funeral service. Cremation will take place at the Parklawn Crematorium. Burial at the Anglican Cemetery. Friday Oct. 4th, 2019 Immediate Family only.
