It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the sudden passing of Derek Landry, at the age of 50 years. Born July 11, 1969, Derek was the son of Marlene (nee Therrien) and Rene Landry, both predeceased. Loving father of his pride and joy Kayla (Nick) and Kory (Cydney) Landry. Cherished brother of Craig (Kristy) Landry and Perry (Lorie) Landry. Loving uncle to Erin, Carson, Toni and special friend to Kimberly Stewart. He will be happily remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Derek was a devoted father, dedicated businessman and proud co-owner of Landcore Drilling. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends and would never turn his back on anyone who needed a hand. Derek left us with an abundance of fond memories and will be missed by many. A Celebration of His Life will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at the Cartier Community Center from 11:30 am to 4:20 pm. Donations in Derek’s memory can be made directly to the Cartier Recreation Community Center and would be appreciated by his family.
