In loving memory of Lilian Croteau who passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Villa Friday July 12,2019 at the age of 92.Beloved wife of Frank Croteau (predeceased 1991) daughter of Albert and Elizabeth(Walker) Farrington both predeceased. Loving mother of Christopher Simister (predeceased 2017} and mother-in-law of Katherine Simister. Survived by step daughter Donna (Garry) Murphy, step sons Allan Croteau (Loretta predeceased,partner Liette) and Richard Croteau (Betsy) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survide by cousin Kay (Alfred) Hall,her dear friend Jan Jacobs and many relatives in Manchester England. Born in Manchester England, spent her childhood during the WW2 as a child evacuee until she was old enough to obtain employment in the printing trade She immigrated to Canada in 1949 embarking on a new life. She work at various jobs until she obtained employment in the printing trade. She was employed at Journal Printing for many a year until her retirement from Journal Printing in 1978. In September of that year she married Frank Croteau. They spent many a happy day at their cottage on Trout Lake and wintering in Zephyrhills Florida. Because of declining health she resided at St. Joseph's Villa until her passing. The family would like at this time to send their heartfelt appreciation and a thank you to the wonderful and dedicated staff of St. Joseph's Villa who cared for Lilian. As per Lilian's request there will not be any visitation or funeral. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with interment at LaSalle Cemetery at a later date. Donations to The Alzheimer Society or St. Joseph's Foundation of Sudbury in memory of Lilian will be appreciated by the family.
