In loving memory of Frederick Karst who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on Friday, July 12th, 2019 at the age of 74 surrounded by family. Beloved husband of 40 years to Jo Ann (Hildebrandt) Karst of Garson. Loving father of Tammy (Terry Riddoch), Tracy (Trevor Bracken) and Mathew (Andrea). Cherished Grandpa of Kara, Kendra, Morgan, Brandon, Jacob and Daxton. Dear son of Mathew and Ann Karst. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Fred was a proud member of the Carpenter’s Union Local 2486 for over 50 years. Fred shared his love of the craft teaching the carpentry Apprentice Program at Cambrian College for over 15 years. Fred’s favourite pastime was spending time with his family and friends at his camp on Edith Lake. The family would like to take the opportunity to extend their appreciation to the staff at HSN in ER and more specifically the 4th floor for their amazing care and support of our family. Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury where friends may gather from 6-8pm Sunday and after 12 noon Monday. A celebration of his life will be on Monday, July 15th, 2019 in the R. J. Barnard Chapel at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated.
