In Loving Memory of Reino Forbom 99 years Thursday July 4th, 2019 at Pioneer Manor Beloved husband of Eileen (Speirs) Forbom predeceased 2016. Loving father of Jim (Monica) and Paul (Tanya). Dear son of Kerrtuu and Ossian Forbom both predeceased. Dear brother of Aili Brown (Leroy predeceased). Dear uncle of John (Elsie), Rob (Andrea), Sandra and their families. Born in Finland, he married Eileen in 1953. Reino owned and operated Sudbury Service Centre. He built his “Shangri-La” on Penage and enjoyed the camp and sauna until he was 94 years. For 32 wonderful years he and Eileen traveled to Waikiki Beach. He had a passion for canoeing, putting thousands of miles on the family heirloom canoe. A true handyman, he could fix anything. Reino was an avid reader especially in the sciences. As a skilled photographer he would always joke that he kept Kodak in business. Reino loved to talk and share his stories, he will lovingly be remembered as a hardworking, good man. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury, Saturday, August 10th, 2019 from 2pm to 4pm Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium Donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
