Pitre, Gabriel “ Gabby”

With heavy hearts the family announces the peaceful passing of Gabriel “ Gabby” Pitre in his 62nd year, on June 26th 2019 at Health Sciences North with loving family at his side . Gabriel has now been reunited in heaven with his father Hormidas Pitre (predeceased) and survived by his mother Lucille Pitre ( nee Lafortune), dear companion Carole Pomerleau , Daughters Melissa (Dwight) and Tracy ( Dave ) , loving grandchildren Braden , Elliot , Alisha and Stephane. Treasured brother of Claude ( Ginette) , Conrad, Paulette (Andre), Pierre (Tracey), and Philippe. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and will be missed by his special circle of friends “ Les Fous” and many more. Gabriel was an avid outdoorsmen, his passions in life were his family , friends, hunting , fishing, making maple syrup at the sugar shack, doing firewood with his brother and spending time with his grand children. He will always be remembered as a strong ,hard working , dedicated and loving man. At his request, cremation has taken place and there will be a celebration of life in his honour at a later date. A special thank you to Dr Masters, Dr Carlson and the staff of 8th floor at HSN for the wonderful care they provided. May you rest in peace Papa and promise me that one day, when the time is right that you will be there to greet me at the other end of the rainbow bridge. Like Gabriels would always say, Bonne journee, prends soins , je t’aime et Todaloo !!!!
