Great Grandmother of Pete, Devon, and Isaiah. Great great grandmother to Ava and Olivia. Daughter of Domenico and Teresina Porco (deceased). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Luisa was born in 1926 in Carolei Italy. She immigrated to Canada 4 years after Saverio settled in Sudbury and made caring for family her priority. A devout Roman Catholic she faithfully attended St. Anthony’s Church in Gatchell and was a member of the parish CWL for many years. She lived a full life as a dutiful wife, wonderful mother, and proud grandmother and great grandmother. She loved to bake bread and traditional pastries and cook elaborate Italian meals. She took pride in keeping an immaculate house and an open door to family, friends and neighbours. She especially enjoyed her time blueberry, mushroom and dandelion picking with her grandchildren and tending to her beautiful flowers and bountiful garden. Most of all she loved her family and instilled in them strong values that served them well in raising upstanding grandchildren and great grandchildren who truly and unconditionally loved and admired their Nonna as she did them. We will remember our mom and Nonna as a selfless, kind and generous soul. She will be sadly missed but her beautiful spirit and our fond memories of her will live on and be forever in our hearts.
