Tomini, Eligio 'Leo'

In Loving Memory of Eligio “Leo” Tomini Peacefully Wednesday, June 19th, 2019 at Finlandia Village, Sudbury. Dear son of Lino and Maria (Petracco) Tomini both predeceased. Beloved husband of Ada (Grottoli) Tomini. Loving father of Dennis Tomini (Lillian predeceased)(Valerie), Lenard Tomini (Diane), Janie Pagnutti (Peter predeceased)(Andy Balez), and David Tomini (Cynthia). Cherished Nono of Stephen Tomini (Krista), Adria Wendl (Eric), Michael Tomini (Natalie), Peter Pagnutti (Shawna), Chris Pagnutti (Tara), Bradley Pagnutti (Marnie), Jeffrey Pagnutti (Paule), Ryan Pagnutti, Sarah Pagnutti, Emmalie Tomini (Matthew), and Adam Tomini. Loving Bis-Nono to Luke, Liam, Felicity, Julia, Peter, Harlan, Isla, and Hudson. Lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Leo came to Canada from Italy in 1947, and married Ada Grottoli in 1951 in Sudbury. He was a devout Roman Catholic, belonging to St. Anthony’s Church. He was a life member and former executive member of the Caruso Club, and a 4th-degree Knight of Columbus, Christ the King Council 1387. Leo was a businessman, the owner of Tomini Grapes and Food Market. He loved dancing, singing, playing the accordion, and hunting. Special thanks to the nurses, staff, and PSWs of Finlandia Village for their wonderful care of our husband, father, and nono. Donations to the Knights of Columbus Rev. Fr. B.J. Memorial Mass in St. Anthony’s Church 19 Mary Street, Sudbury Thursday, June 27th, 2019 at 10:30am Cremation with interment in the family plot at Park Lawn Cemetery.
