She will be missed by her surviving aunts, uncle, cousins, nieces and nephews from all over Canada and the United States.Norma and Wally relocated from Newfoundland to Rexdale, Ontario in 1968 where they were married and began their family. A welder by trade for many years in Toronto she made the family’s patio furniture, many pieces of which lasted for decades making it to Sudbury when they moved from Brampton in 1988. Norma eventually put down her welding equipment and worked at Humber College in Rexdale until she and Wally bought Holiday Beach Campground. She loved her home on the lake and enjoyed sharing it with many campers over the years. She will be sadly missed by her Holiday Beach patrons many of whom became friends who became family. She will be especially missed by Louis and Sheila Boileau, Roy and Heidi Maanselka and Adria Wereszcynsky, the very first friend she made in Sudbury, who was by her side until the very end. The family would like to thank Dr. Bakker and Marion for their many years of wonderful care, Dr. Lopez, Dr. Bowen, Dr. S. Smith, Dr. Gopalakrishnan, Dr. Ali, Dr. Singh and Janice of Symptoms Management. She thought the world of you all and she was crocheting right up to the end. We would also like to thank her Home Care nurses especially Sandy, Terry and Luanne as well as the nurses and PSW teams of the North Tower 4th floor at Health Sciences North and the Maison McCulloch Hospice for their exceptional care of our precious wife, Mom and Nanny. Your support and care will never be forgotten. Donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice would be greatly appreciated. A celebration of life will be held at Holiday Beach Campground in Whitefish at a later date. “Love you to the moon and back.” Until we meet again and hear you greet us with ‘Hi my love.’ Arrangements entrusted to Ranger’s Cremation and Burial Services Ltd.
