In loving memory of Gena Brosseau, 92 years, who passed away peacefully at Villa St. Gabriel in Chelmsford on Monday, June 10, 2019 surrounded by his dear family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Réjeanne (nee Bélanger) of Azilda. Loving father of Gaston Brosseau (Christine), the late Guy Brosseau, Lise Brosseau (Rodney) and Michelle Brosseau. Fondly remembered grandfather of Josée, Marcel, Ashley (Kyle) and Chelsey. Cherished great-grandfather of Dallas, Danique, Joleen, Carter, Finley and Shayla. Dear brother of Yvonne (Albert) and the late Earnest (Annette), Wilfrid (Aline), Eugene (Rita), Armand (Jeanne), Albert (Edna), Marie (Émile), Marie-Jeanne (Maurice) and Irène. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gena was born in Larchwood, on March 27, 1927 to parents Anna and Ferdinand, both predeceased. He retired from the Canadian Pacific Railway, after 36 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, loved fishing and hunting. Gena shared his love for life with his contagious smile and positive attitude. His greatest love was his family. He always encouraged them to be the best they could be and that nothing was impossible. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Gabriel for the exceptional care Gena and his family have received. In celebration of his life, a mass will be held on Tuesday, June 18th, 2019 at Ste. Agnès church, in Azilda, 11:00 AM (Friends may gather at the church after 10:30 AM Tuesday) In lieu of flower, donations to the N.C.F.-Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
