Loved by many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Brother of Kathleen Annas (late Steven) and Stella Sinclair (late Robert) brother-in-law of Bette Cohn. Predeceased by his parents Theodore Fouriezos and Mandy Fouriezos (Kostakos) siblings Nicholas, Homer and Angleine “Kiki” Grenier (late Norman). Charlie had a love for Northern Ontario, growing up in Sturgeon Falls influenced by his parent’s business the Riviera Restaurant and the fishing camp that they owned on the Sturgeon River. Over the years “the camp” became a wonderful gathering place for all generations of his extended family where he spent many hours fishing. Charlie attended Osgoode Law School where he met and then married his wife Carolyn. He was called to the bar in 1955 and began to practice in Toronto for the CBC but longed to be back in Northern Ontario. He moved to Sudbury where he had a distinguished career of 52 years as a Lawyer and Judge. He held the distinction of being one of the first Judges of Greek heritage in Ontario, appointed in 1969. He returned to private practice and was appointed to Queen’s Council in 1975. He was a member of the Sudbury Urban Renewal executive and its vice-chairman for many years. He was past president of the Sudbury and District Law Association and past president of the Sudbury Greek Community. He also served the Sudbury Theatre Centre, and Cinefest. Charlie was a wonderful and compassionate man. He gave so much to the people of Sudbury through his work as a judge and lawyer. He valued family, friendship and contributions to society. He was kind, loving, full of life, and family oriented. He lived life fully and had a profound and lasting impact on so many.
