In loving memory of Michael Martin “Mike” Stasuik It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Michael Martin Stasuik at the age of 77 at Health Sciences North, peacefully surrounded by loving family on May 16th, 2019, Beloved husband of 59 years to Eleanor (Waltenbury) Stasuik of Hanmer. Cherished father to Patty, Laurie (Steve), Sheila (Austin), predeceased by Christine, Marilyn and Michael. Adored Papa to Michelle, Angela, Tara, Cory, Joseph, Carrie, Robert, Brittany, Devin, Shelby and Greg. Great Grandchildren Keaton, Alyssa, Nolan, Cloey, Riley, Parker, Caleb and Gwen. Born in Hamilton to Michael and Olga (predeceased). Brother to Gloria (Tom), predeceased by David (Edna). Will be sadly missed by all of his family including brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends. Deeply adored by Aunt Mary Stasuik. Mike worked for Bell Canada for 31 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed spending time outdoors camping and fishing. He was most proud to gather his family and friends for his famous fish fries, which has created many happy memories. Mike also had a passion for making sausage and kielbossa for everyone to enjoy. We were blessed with this loving man with a great sense of humour, and a willingness to lend a helping hand wherever he could. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank you to everyone on the 5th floor, south tower HSN for the amazing care and comfort provided to Mike. Relatives and friends will be received at Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury on Sunday, May 19th, 2019 from 2-4pm, and 6-8pm Panakhyda service will be held at 7pm Sunday evening. Funeral service Monday, May 20th, 2019 at 10:30am at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 40 Notre-Dame Avenue, Sudbury.
