In loving memory of Yvonne Carr (Gillen) who passed away on Monday, May 13th, 2019 at Extendicare York at the age of 93. Beloved wife of Lorne Carr predeceased 1999. Cherished mother of Kathie Carr of Edmonton, AB, Dawn Globensky of Sudbury, Larry Carr predeceased 1974, Gayle Carr of Toronto and Terry Allan (Dan) of Vernon, B.C. Loving grandmother to Kelly (Mike), Anissa, Larry, Jennifer, Stephanie (Derek), Ashley and Jamie and great grandmother of Izzy, Lauren, Cole and Max. Dear sister of Noella Gillen and Frances Berek (Stan) both of Bradford. Predeceased by her parents Alex and Florida Gillen, brother PJ, sisters Bernadette, Rose, and Agnes (Sis). Special thanks to the nurses and psw’s especially Melissa and Benny on the 2nd floor at Extendicare York. Resting at the Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch Street, Sudbury where friends may gather on Thursday from 6-8pm. Funeral Mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 1250 Barrydowne Rd., Sudbury on Friday, May 17th, 2019 at 10am. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium with burial of ashes beside her husband and son at the Sudbury Roman Catholic Cemetery. If desired, donations to Meals on Wheels would be appreciated.
