We were blessed to have Gino Favero with us for 89 wonderful years. On May 12th, 2019 Gino passed away peacefully surrounded with an abundance of love from his family. A devoted husband to Teresa (nee Secco) for 62 years, father to Carla (Neil), Diego (Donalda), Paul (Sue), and loving Nonno to Jordanna, Ryan, Alyssa, Corey, Erika and Tessa. He is now reunited in heaven with parents, Luigia and Arcangelo. One of twelve children, he grew up in Venagazzu, Treviso, Italy. Gino leaves behind his remaining brother Serafino and sister Giacomina. Gino was an extremely talented, professional carpenter who expanded those skills to build many fine pieces of furniture for his home and his children. His most enjoyable times were with family and friends enjoying Teresa’s cooking along with his homemade wine. He embraced all that Canada offered including hunting, fishing, many bocce tournaments, bowling, hockey (devoted Boston Bruins fan), mushroom picking, wine making, and gardening. All this, while enjoying his strong Italian traditions as a Caruso club member and active board & committee advisor from the early years of its inception. Gino was an amazing builder but an even more extraordinary builder of family. As a husband, he had an uncompromised love for his wife, as a father he had a deep pride in his children and as a Nonno he always had huge smiles for his grandchildren. Funeral Visitation in the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street at Hazel Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 6-8pm Monday).
