It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Richard Stanley Perry, 58 years, on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at the Maison McCulloch Hospice. Beloved son of Tom and Elsie (nee Proctor) Perry, both predeceased, and dear husband of the late Carolle Belanger-Perry. Ricky will be greatly missed by his sisters Brenda Gosselin (Ron Fitzsimmons) and Mary Perry (Brendan Rodriguez). He will be fondly remembered by his nieces Charlee and Macy Grace, his many aunts and uncles, as well as his large extended family and his many friends. Ricky grew up roaming the rocky hills of Creighton Mine and loved spending his childhood summers at the family camp on Lake Agnew, zipping along the sandy roads on his yellow moped or with his dad in the Model A. Ricky also spent a good deal of his youth at Grandma and Grandpa Perry’s dairy farm in beautiful Alliston. He loved riding and tinkering with anything motorized, and was so proud of his big silver Yamaha Road Star motorcycle. He was always happy to invite people over to his place for a hot tub and a drink, in every season. We will miss that big grin and his laughter, the way he’d show up out of the blue on his motorbike for a little visit, and his presence at every family gathering, always with a funny story to share. A special thanks to the wonderful staff at the Heart Failure Clinic, Home and Community Care, the Shared Care Team, and the Maison McCulloch Hospice who all contributed to providing the care Ricky needed in his final weeks. Donations to the Maison McCulloch Hospice are much appreciated. As per Ricky’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
