I loved Pierette very much! She was like a mom away from home for me through the years that I knew her when I lived in Val Caron. I have missed her friendship since I moved back to Alberta. She was a beautiful friend and lady and she will be missed greatly. To Joe and the rest of her family, please accept my sincerest condolences. You are all in my thoughts and prayers as you face this incredible loss. Love, Charlotte

To all of Pete’s family and friends, my sincerest condolences to all of you. I was a tenant and a friend to Pete and Joe, during my years there. You could always smell something delicious being prepared by Pete. Her huge kitchen was always open and welcoming to so many. I always enjoyed my coffee visits with her and Joe. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time and the days to come. Sincerely Karen Henri and Tarik Thibault

Dear Robert, Jean Guy, Marc, Joe, Claire so sorry to hear of Pete's passing. I ran into her and Joe less than 2 weeks ago at Costco and we hugged and reminisced. She was her usually bubbly self and I told her how wonderful they both looked. I know she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

My deepest condolences to Joe and all her family. I met Pete from where I worked. She had such a bubbly personality and her smile was so contagious. I saw her a few times, after I retired, she was still her bubbly self and that smile hadn't changed. Rest in peace, Pete.

To the Gatien family and to all who loved her, I offer you my most sincere condolences. My friend Nicole had only beautiful and kind things to say about her - so I share with you a quote I read the other day and I have a pretty good feeling that this quote is a reflection of who this "mom" was to so many. " A life that touches others, goes on forever..." May all the fond memories you have of her keep you warm and safe during these difficult days. ~ Francine
