In Loving Memory of Claudette Rita Larivière (née Dubreuil) Peacefully, Tuesday, March 12th, 2019 at Health Sciences North, with loving family at her side. Loving mother of sons Roger (wife Rejeanne), Raymond (wife Sue), and daughter Diane Lashuk (husband Greg predeceased). Special grandmother of Jeff (Chrissy), Johnathan (Andrea), Remi, Renée, and great grandchildren Hayleigh, Ryder, Brantley, Lucas, Katie, and Marcus – she always had such a good time with them. Dear daughter of Laura (née Laforge) and Treflé Dubreuil both predeceased. Dear sister of Bob, Adelard, Roger, Fritz (Sally), Eugene (Audrey), Harvé (Thérèse), and William (Elizabeth). She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews, especially Irene and Leona, with whom she had a special relationship. Claudette was raised in the Flour Mill area. She married John Larivière, the love of her life, in 1956 at St. Jean de Brébeuf Church. They loved each other for 54 years. Claudette worked for the Public School Board for 25 years. She volunteered for the Starlight Foundation for 14 years, granting wishes for seriously ill children, where she granted many wishes. She devoted herself to her church, Ste. Anne des Pins, belonging to the Colombettes, and working for all the teas. Claudette was also captain of Volunteers for the City of Greater Sudbury Police Coniston Store Front for many years. She also enjoyed going up to her camp on the French with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation would be appreciated. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury (Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Friday). Funeral Mass in Ste Anne des Pins Church 14 Beech Street, Sudbury Saturday, March 16th, 2019 at 12:30pm. Cremation with interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery.
