In Loving Memory of Percy Edward (Bud) MacDonald May 2nd, 1937 – Peacefully March 9th, 2019 at Health Sciences North, with loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Joan (Woods) MacDonald. Loving father of Greg (Dawn), and Mark (Jodi). Cherished grandfather of Payton, Holly, Bowen, and Brady. Dear son of Rory and Edith MacDonald both predeceased. Dear brother of Margaret Pollock (Ken predeceased), Jack (Jean) both predeceased, Noline “Mickey” Sheppard (Bud) both predeceased, Jim, Ron (Jackie) both predeceased, Marian Newstead (Bunny) both predeceased, Katie Kettlewell (Bill), Laurine MacQueen predeceased (Murray)(Debi), Doris Frederick (Bob), Lorne (Karen), Judith Grieve (John), Janice, Allan predeceased (Linda), and stepsisters Ellen (Eric), and Rhoda (Hub), all predeceased. Brother in law of John (Betty) both predeceased, Bill Woods (Anne), and Betty Abrahamson. He was blessed with many nieces and nephews. Bud was blessed to be a member and elder of Calvin Presbyterian Church. He was an ex-serviceman in the Royal Canadian Navy, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 76 for over 40 years. He was also involved with Manitoulin & North Shore Veterans alumni. In his younger years, he joined Admiral Mountbatten Naval Cadets, spending five years on the ship H.M.S. Bonaventure. After coming home, he was hired at INCO as Material Co-ordinator until his retirement. Bud loved life, and enjoyed his grandchildren immensely. Bud was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with local events. He enjoyed his afternoon snoozes while reading his paper, and watching TV. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home 252 Regent Street, at Hazel Street, Sudbury Friends may call 4pm-8pm Friday March 22nd, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 7pm on Friday March 22nd, under the auspices of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 76. Funeral Service in Calvin Presbyterian Church 1114 Auger Ave, Sudbury Saturday, March 23rd, 2019 at 1pm. Entombment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum, followed by a luncheon and celebration of life at Calvin Presbyterian Church. For donations and messages of condolence, www.lougheed.org.
