McDonald, Sylvia 'Syl' (Squires)

In Loving Memory of Sylvia “Syl” McDonald (nee Squires) 93 years Peacefully Thursday, March 7th, 2019 at Extendicare Falconbridge, Sudbury, with loving family at her side. Beloved wife of Donald McDonald predeceased 1993. Loving mother of Wayne (Valerie), Barry (Carmen), Donna Dollemont (Frank), and Brett (Kim). Cherished grandmother of Jaime, Chad, Kelly, Lance, Lee, Travis, Cody, and Aaron, and great-grandchildren Nova, Declin, Cowen, Elliot, Easton, and Kya. Dear daughter of Albert and Winnifred Squires both predeceased. Dear sister of Raymond Squires (Shirley) both predeceased. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Syl was an avid Montreal Canadiens hockey fan. She was devoted to her loving family. She was happiest in their company, watching a hockey game. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street, Sudbury Friends may call 2-5; 7-9pm Tuesday or after 10:30am Wednesday. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Wednesday, March 13th, 2019 at 11:30am. Interment in the family plot at the Civic Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the World Wildlife Fund would be appreciated.
