In loving memory of Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Gertrude Johnson (née Kilby), 90 years who passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 peacefully at Health Sciences North with her family by her side. Loving mother of Eric (Judy) of Skead and Judy (Bob) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Chris) of Brisbane, Australia, Cheryl (Chris) of Lively and Erica of Sudbury. Great grandmother to Raya, Paige and Hannah. Dear sister to Kenneth (predeceased), Murray (Gwen) both predeceased, survived by brothers William ‘Bill’ (Marlene) predeceased, Brian (Judy) and sister Cathy (Bob). Predeceased by her parents Oswald (Jack) Kilby and Ilva (née Thomas). Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed gardening along with preparing large dinners for family gatherings. She forever cherished her summers at camp with her granddaughters. A true family pet lover, an avid reader and she always enjoyed engaging in good current event discussions. She was very well read and became a resource of knowledge she shared with her family throughout the years. “We love you, Grandma.” The family would like to thank Dr. Mirka for the compassionate care she provided to Grandma. In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or service. If desired, donations to the Kidney Foundation or The Canadian Wildlife Foundation may be made. Cremation at the Park Lawn Crematorium.
