After facing Cancer with her trademark tenacity, Darlene Cecilia Palmer passed away peacefully on March 2nd, 2019 at Maison McCulloch Hospice at the age of 69. Born February 5, 1950, in St. Thomas, Ontario, to William and Cecilia Palmer, Darlene is survived by her brothers Bill Jr. and Michael and sister Stephanie, and is predeceased by her sister Elizabeth. At her core she was first and foremost, a fiercely loving and devoted mother to Bill (spouse Lisa), Melissa, Mathew (spouse Melissa) and Kimberly and Grandmother (aka Grams) to Tyler, Christian, Brianna, Sydney and Palmer. She lived her life full of grace and with a belief that the meaning of friend or family was a shared experience well beyond the definition of the words. There was always room at her table with open arms and an open heart. Over the years we have been honored to share her with so many people through the Rotary Club of Sunrisers Sudbury, Cambrian College, the YMCA, The Chamber of Commerce and countless other organizations and activities. We would like to thank everyone for the outpouring of support and messages of love. In accordance with her wishes, a celebration of life will take place at 2870 Hartley Bay Road, Killarney ( turn off Hwy 69 is just before the French River Trading Post) on Saturday, August 24th, 2019 from 1-4pm.
