Dixon, A. Mary (Lashbrook)

In Loving Memory of Mary Alena (Lashbrook) Dixon 102 years Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 at Extendicare Falconbridge, Sudbury. Loving wife of Lorne Dixon predeceased 2004. Loving mother of Helen (Dave McIntyre predeceased), Beth predeceased (Henry Lavigueur predeceased), Janet “Marg” (Les Wilson), Ron (Rollande predeceased) (Jackie), Lawrence predeceased (Marilyn predeceased), Faye (George Langlois predeceased), Julie, and Diane. Cherished grandmother of 32 grandchildren, 70 great-grandchildren, and 42 great-great-grandchildren. Dear daughter of Richard and Nancy Lashbrook both predeceased. Dear sister of Sterling, Gertrude, Eliza, Richard, Levi, Artwell, Tommy, and Roy all predeceased. Mary was an avid gardener, a skilled quilter, knitter, and a berry picker. She enjoyed puzzles and bingo. Mary will be remembered for her wonderful joy of life, her laughter, her wonderful sense of humour, her inner strength and strong resilience but mostly, for the love for her family. Special thanks to the staff of the 4th floor at Extendicare Falconbridge for their kindness. Funeral Service in the R. J. Barnard Chapel Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch Street Sudbury Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 at 10am. (Friends may call 2-4; 7-9pm Friday and after 9am Saturday). Interment in the Civic Memorial Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the NCF Cancer Center would be appreciated.
