A Gift Returned to God In loving memory of Elwin Allen Root, who passed away unexpectedly although peacefully in Espanola, ON, Friday, February 22, 2019 at the age of 57. Beloved son of Preston Root pre-deceased August 17, 1987, and Therese Root (nee Bertrand) pre-deceased April 13, 2016. Beloved brother of Gilbert Root pre-deceased January 24, 2007 (Debbie), Claudette Holden (Keith) and Melinda Root (Craig Livingston). Beloved uncle of Brad Holden (Lori), Stacey Patenaude (Mark), Jessica Root, Adam Root (Ashley), Eric Root. Beloved great uncle of Sofia, Adelyne, Brady, Amelia. Extended family member of Holland Group Home, proud employee of the Jarrett Centre, and friend of many. Allen loved country music (Johnny Cash), playing his guitar, good food, dancing and big hugs. Interment in the Lee Valley Cemetery will take place on Saturday, May 25th, 2019 at 11am, followed by a celebration of life in the Lee Valley Hall.
