In Loving Memory of Olimpio Padovan 92 years Peacefully, Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Pioneer Manor in Sudbury with loving family at his side. Beloved husband of Anna Maria (Piccin) Padovan predeceased 2004. Loving father of Enzo (predeceased 2012), Manuela Padovan, Sandra Poloni (Oscar). Cherished Nonno of Matthew. Dear son of Luigi and Maria (Piccolo) Padovan both predeceased. Dear brother of Rena Modolo predeceased, Vilma Zanette (husband Ontario) both predeceased, Pasquale predeceased (wife Luigia), Mario (wife Maria), Valeria Calonego (husband Aldo predeceased) and Giannino (wife Bruna). Sadly missed many loving nieces and nephews. Olimpio was born in San Vendimiano, Italy in 1926 moving to Sudbury in 1950. He married in 1957 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church. He worked at INCO’s transportation department retiring with 38 years’ service. He was an avid gardener whose green thumb produced bountiful vegetables and fruits. An accomplished Mr. Fix-it and builder who took great pride in his work. He was quick to help others and devoted to his loving family. In lieu of flowers donations to Maison McCulloch Hospice or the Northern Cancer Foundation or Charity of Choice would be appreciated. Resting at the Jackson and Barnard Funeral Home 233 Larch St., Sudbury (Friends may call 4-8 P.M. Thursday with parish prayers at 7:30 P.M.) Funeral Mass in St. Patrick’s Church 39 Walford Rd., Sudbury Friday, February 15, 2019 at 10 A.M. Entombment in the Civic Cemetery Mausoleum.
